KILIMERU REDEEM THEMSELVES AGAINST MCC

Kilimeru never found their footing in the chase and crumbled to just 37 all out, with Hasan Bibo the only player to reach double digits, scoring 10 runs. A To Z’s bowling attack was ruthless, with Vijay Bhath taking 3 for 12, Vijay Dhiman 2 for 10 and Dushant Singh 2 for 3 – sealing a crushing victory.

In second game, Telugu put on a batting masterclass in their match against TCA. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Telugu posted an imposing 199 for 2. Sandeep T scored a brisk 50, Vinay Raj added a fluent 55 and Harshil finished unbeaten on 49 guiding their team to a near-200 total. In response, TCA struggled to build momentum and ended their innings at 100 for 7. Mbwana Shabani stood out with a fighting 41, while John Frank chipped in with 15. Telugu’s bowlers were clinical – Vinay Kumar led with 2 for 5 and Yogendra Azad backed him up with 2 for 15 – ensuring a comprehensive win.

In third match of the day, ACC held off a spirited chase from Annadil to register a narrow 19-run victory. Put in to bat, ACC posted a competitive 170 for 8, with Jamin Patel scoring 38, Shyam Soni adding 34 and Veer Makwana contributing a valuable 42. Huzeifa Seifudin starred with the ball for Annadil, claiming 3 for 31 while Hani Mohamed took 1 for 14. Annadil’s chase got off to a shaky start, but a stellar 71-run knock from Taher Aziz kept them in the hunt. He was supported by Hatim Bakrudin, who added 22. Despite their efforts, Annadil fell short, finishing on 151 for 7. ACC’s Vijay Odedra (3 for 28) and Gurpreet Singh (3 for 36) were instrumental in sealing the win. Gurpreet also reached a major milestone, becoming the first bowler to take 100 wickets.

In the fourth match, Kilimeru returned to winning ways with a determined chase against MCC. After being put into the field, Kilimeru restricted MCC to 114 for 4. Gangadhar Prasad top-scored with 35 while Devdutt Joshi added 25. Haider Shahab impressed with the ball, taking 2 for 22, while Abbas Shivji bowled a tidy spell, claiming 1 for 8.

In reply, Kilimeru reached their target in 19 overs, scoring 115 for 6. Haider Shahab contributed a handy 24 and Mujtaba Dhirani remained unbeaten on 20 to guide his team to a crucial win. For MCC, Navneet Sharma picked up 2 for 22 and Devdutt Joshi claimed 1 for 21.
