Prisca Lyimo has been crowned Miss Grand Arusha 2026 after emerging top during the Miss Grand Tanzania auditions held in the city last weekend.
Lyimo, 23, a model and aspiring entrepreneur, stood out among 25 contestants to secure the regional title.
She will now represent Arusha at the national finals, where she will compete against 24 other hopefuls in Dar es Salaam later this year.
Speaking after her crowning, Prisca said she intends to use the platform to promote the Northern Circuit’s natural beauty and tourism potential.
“I will use my title to showcase and promote the country’s unique wildlife and attractions,” she added.
“This opportunity means a great deal to me. I am proud to represent Arusha and look forward to competing at the national level. I know is not going to be easy but I will put my best efforts”
Organisers said the auditions form part of the selection process for Tanzania’s representative to the 14th Miss Grand International pageant scheduled to be held in October 2026 in India.
