Roses are so beautiful,
Lavish, luxurious
A dreamy fragrance that takes you to a faraway place.
How it endures,
When it is being rained upon,
Its petal tender on the cheeks,
Breathing of love and joy
How it unfurls and blossoms in the eventide
As the glimpse of moon radiates its love
On graves it bows and weeps, white, pink, red,
Petals that speak
Of mourning and remembrance.
To the newly weds, It adds charm and delight,
Vibrancy and glamor,
A sacredness to the purity of union
On sandy beaches amidst sparkling aquamarine water,
loosely tucked on auburn tresses,
Sprayed with salt water and surf.
To a couple with newly found love,
Green stem sunk in pristine teeth,
A long stemmed red rose
To profess eternal love
An exquisite bouquet on valentine,
Perfect for picture poses
Pressed between yellowed pages,
Dried petals that tells us a story of
An age-old love
Of laughter and promises
Discolored, but that if we call by any other name
would still be a rose, and smell as sweet,
Deeply admired and loved.
Roses on my cheeks as I traverse through this life
and reminiscise the glorious days,
Its thorns often prick,
But the assurance of the velvety petals nearby
Comforts the heart.
A fusion of flowers
Is what the little ones shower,
A medley of lavender and white blooms
Pink lipped tulips, Lilly of the valley
Camellia
Children being like flowers themselves,
Redolent, pretty, carefree
Filling our world with bloom.
Madly in love with roses,
Tell me about you!
