At the 107th Lions Clubs International Convention held in Orlando, the United States recently, Manish Chavda from Arusha was officially sworn-in as the eighth District Governor of Lions International District 411C.
His installation marks a renewed commitment to service under the inspiring theme: “Aspire to Inspire.”
Governor Chavda, a member of the Arusha City Lions Club, assumes leadership for 2025-26 with a focus on uplifting vulnerable communities and aligning with Lions International’s global causes – eradicating hunger, supporting vision care, combating diabetes, addressing childhood cancer, protecting the environment and empowering youth.
He is joined in leadership by a dedicated cabinet that includes Habil Khanbhai, Immediate Past District Governor from Dar es Salaam (Mzizima); Jeyoul Jethwa, Cabinet Secretary from Kilimanjaro; Yaseer Luhar, Assistant Cabinet Secretary from Arusha City; Ragib Hassanali, Cabinet Treasurer from Dar es Salaam (Mzizima); Kalpit Solani, Assistant Cabinet Treasurer from Kilimanjaro; Reshma Shah, Assistant Cabinet Treasurer from Uhuru and Shahista Luhar, District Administrator – Special Assignments.
The Governor expressed his vision with passion: “We must serve with heart and lead with purpose. Through unity and action, we can inspire hope and transform lives across Tanzania,” he told The Arusha News this week.
Lions Clubs International – the world’s largest service organisation – continues to open its doors to individuals ready to make a difference.
Governor Chavda has warmly invited all compassionate citizens to join the Lions movement and help build stronger and healthier communities.
“With a strong team in place, Lions District 411C is poised to deliver impactful service, elevate leadership and truly aspire to inspire,” he said.
