Police in Arusha are looking for Erick Naftali, who is suspected of killing his brother, Calvin Naftali, during a family dispute on April 20, 2025, at Engikarate Village in Arumeru District, Arusha Region.
According to Acting Arusha Regional Police Commander (RPC), Alvas Mkweli, the suspect was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with their father, Naftali Ndosi, for reasons that remain unclear.
Amid the chaos, Commander Mkweli said Erick allegedly stabbed to death his brother, Calvin, and fled.
“The police is actively looking for the suspect and will be brought before the court as soon as he is arrested,” said Commander Mkweli.
Meanwhile, Arusha region had a very blissful Easter holiday, said the commander.
“Arusha residents enjoyed a safe and peaceful Easter break,” he told The Arusha News.
