William Ralph has officially taken over as President of the Rotary Club of Arusha, pledging to honour the legacy of past presidents while challenging the club to grow stronger together.
In his inaugural address last Sunday, he emphasised continuity over change, stating his leadership would aim to improve rather than reinvent. “We don’t go off in a new direction with new leadership,” he noted, “but we find ways to improve what we are doing.”
Mr Ralph took over from Linda Baas who completed her one year tenure.
Ralph urged members to build deeper relationships within the club and broaden Rotary’s visibility outward – both in the local community and the wider Rotary world. He called for stronger collaboration with government, corporate partners and other Rotary clubs, both local and international.
“Our club is supported by over 50 global partners,” he said, “and we must maintain their trust while attracting new allies in doing good.”
