The Arusha Kadhi, Sheikh Rajab Kihungiza, has called on Muslims and the wider community to uphold the moral values, peace and unity cultivated during the holy month of Ramadhan.
Speaking at the Eid Baraza held on March 21, 2026 in Arusha, Sheikh Kihungiza said the virtues of Ramadhan should not end with the Eid celebrations but should rather be sustained in everyday life.
He emphasised the importance of remaining committed to religious principles, including continued worship, supporting those in need and observing good conduct in society.
He also urged the youth to uphold strong moral values and avoid behaviours that jeopardise their future, noting that they were a vital pillar of national development.
Sheikh Kihungiza further called on citizens to respect the laws of the country and its authorities in order to preserve peace, stability and development.
The Eid Baraza was attended by religious leaders, worshippers and members of the public who gathered to mark the Eid celebrations and receive religious and social guidance.
The Eid Baraza at national level was held in Dar es Salaam , where it was graced by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
