ARUSHA’S MADINA SHINES IN GHANA

Accra
Tanzania’s leading female amateur golfer, Madina Iddi, continued her stellar run by clinching the top spot at the 2025 Ghana Ladies Amateur Open, held last week at the Centre of the World Golf Club in Tema.

Competing under the banner of Arusha Gymkhana Club, Madina delivered consistent rounds of 74, 80 and 80, finishing with a gross total of 234. Her performance kept her comfortably ahead of the pack and earned her a second career victory at the prestigious tournament.

The battle for second place was tight, with three contenders—including Nigeria’s Ehinomen Igbinadolor—sharing the runner-up position with a score of 246.

Madina’s win in Ghana comes just weeks after she captured the title at the Zambia Ladies Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship in Ndola on June 15, marking her second international triumph in less than a month.

Having first lifted the Ghana Open trophy in 2023 and sitting out the 2024 edition, Madina’s return this year and successful title reclaim further cement her rising influence in Africa’s women’s amateur golf scene.
