Gary Chadha emerged champion of the Mzee Somji’s 90th Birthday Golf Tournament, held last week at the Arusha Gymkhana Club. Khanbhai Hussein finished runner-up. In Division Two, Sheetal Aggarwal claimed top honours, followed by Koen Stenton, while Anverali Nanabhai won Division Three, with P. Niskala as runner-up.
The tournament was organised in honour of Mzee Amir Somji (left)—a respected Arusha elder and philanthropist—who celebrated his 90th birthday on May 26, 2025. Veteran golfer General Mirisho Sarakikya (right), who turns 91 in September, graced the event in a gesture of camaraderie.
