The Vodacom 2025 Golf Championship came to an exciting finish last Sunday at Kili Golf course, drawing some of East Africa’s finest golfers for four days of top-tier competition. Kenya’s Njoroge Kibugu emerged as the overall champion in the men’s professional category after posting a four-round total of 289 strokes (+1). Kibugu’s calm consistency on the greens gave him a comfortable edge over compatriots Greg Snow (300) and Robinson Owiti (303), who secured second and third places respectively. Tanzania’s Nuru Mollel impressed home supporters with a strong showing that saw him finish fourth on 305 strokes while fellow Tanzanian Isaac Wanyeche followed closely in fifth with 312. In the elite amateur division, Kenya’s dominance continued as John Lejirma clinched the title with 292, ahead of Michael Karanga (297). Tanzania’s Isiaka Dunia produced a confident performance to claim third position with 298 strokes keeping the host nation well-represented on the leaderboard.
