Construction of the Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium in Arusha has reached 51% completion, with officials confirming that the structural concrete phase is now done and roofing installation is underway.
Deputy Minister for Information, Culture and Sports, Hamis Mwinjuma, who visited the construction site early this week, praised Chinese contractor CRECG for finishing the first phase 20 days ahead of schedule, calling it a rare achievement in Tanzania’s construction sector. Over 50,000 cubic metres of concrete were poured in just under eight months.
