Arusha Gymkhana Club hosted the Airtel January 2026 Monthly Mug last Saturday with competitive performances recorded across all three handicap divisions.
In Division One for golfers with handicaps up to 12.4, Richard Gomes emerged winner after returning a net score of 71, edging out rivals on countback. Prabvir Singh finished runner-up, also on net 71 while Teji Bansal placed third with a net score of 72.
The Division Two contest for handicaps between 12.5 and 18.4 saw Owen Maganga claim top honours with a net score of 72. Rashid Rashid followed in second place after posting a net 74 while Kassim Somji settled for third with a net 80.
In Division Three, which attracted the largest field, Avtar Singh Neote topped the standings with an impressive net score of 66. He was closely followed by Murad Jivan, who also carded a net 66 but finished second on countback. Tinka Soor secured third place with a net score of 71.
A total of 29 golfers took part in the competition, which was played in a singles stroke-play format with full handicap allowance.
