ACC CRUSH KILIMERU IN CRICKET SHOWDOWN

Winning the toss, Annadil elected to bat first in the Arusha Regional Cricket Committee Tournament for 20 overs played at the St. Constantine Ground last week.

Hatim Bakrudin top-scored with 41 runs, supported by Bamba’s 11, guiding the team to 89/8 in their allotted overs. A to Z’s bowling attack was led by Vijay Bhath, who delivered an impressive spell of 3/9. Captain Guru Prakash contributed 2/13, while Sanjiv added 2/9.

In response, A to Z lost early wickets to Huzeifa Seifudin (2/17) and Taha Nurbhai (3/23). However, Vijay Dhiman’s composed 26 runs and Gobin Nath’s 34 ensured A to Z chased down the target in the 15th over, finishing at 90/5.

Game 2: Kilimeru chases down TCA with Mujtaba’s half-century.

Kilimeru won the toss and sent TCA in to bat. Aisha Mohamed (31) and Juma Safari (25) anchored the innings, taking TCA to 108/5. Kilimeru’s bowling unit responded with discipline – Abbas Shiyvi claiming 2/12, Azhar Lalji 1/12 and Gulfan 1/16.

Chasing 109, Kilimeru reached the target comfortably in under 15 overs. Mujtaba Sajan led the charge with a solid 50, while Alisagar Hirji added 15 runs, finishing at 112/5.

ACC piles up 267 with twin centuries; Kilimeru falters in chase.

ACC batted after winning the toss and got off to a blistering start – scoring 40 in the first 3 overs through Mufeed (20) and Preet Singh (21). Three fireworks came from Veer Makwana, who smashed an unbeaten 105 off 47 balls and Jaiman Patel, who matched him with 101 off 48 deliveries. Their heroics powered ACC to a mammoth 267/4.

Kilimeru’s bowlers struggled, with Abbas Ali picking 3/41 and Hasan Bibo 1/39. The chase, early on, was done by Parimal Patel (2/2), while Shaheed Bibo managed a fighting 41 and Tablib chipped in with 26. Kilimeru ended at 87/6 in their full 20 overs. ACC bowlers Shyam Soni (2/6) and Jaimin (1/11) kept the pressure on throughout.
