Tanzanian golf star Madina Iddi has once again proven her mettle on the regional stage, emerging as the 2025 Zambia Ladies Open champion after an emphatic performance at Nkana Golf Club in Kitwe, last week.

The three-day amateur stroke play tournament attracted a strong field of 87 women golfers, but it was Arusha Gymkhana’s Madina – the sole Tanzanian entrant – who stood head and shoulders above the rest. She carded rounds of 77, 75 and 76, finishing with a total gross score of 228 and a net score of 225, to secure a commanding 19-stroke victory and successfully defend her title.

Zambians Annie Nsama and Gracious Mwenda completed the podium. Nsama took the runner-up position with a gross of 247 and net of 235 while Mwenda placed third, posting a gross of 251 and net of 224.

Madina’s consistency and calm under pressure throughout all three rounds highlighted not only her technical skill, but also her mental resilience – qualities that have become hallmarks of her game.
