More than 60 golfers are expected to tee off today in the one-day Crown Paints Golf Competition at the Arusha Gymkhana Club. Organisers say the event promises an exciting day on the course with spectators assured of all the thrills and close competition. The tournament will be played in the Stableford format and top performers in both the men’s and ladies’ categories will walk away with attractive prizes. Speaking ahead of the event, Crown Paints (T) Limited General Manager Sanjay Babuta said the company was committed to supporting the growth of sports in Tanzania. “We have decided to promote golf which is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country,” he said.
