Tellegu defeated MCC by 39 runs in the ongoing Ali Chomoko Memorial Cricket Tournament at St. Constantine grounds.
After being sent in to bat, Tellegu posted 151/8, thanks to a brisk 52 from Kelvin, while Suraj Puhan (3/17) and Hiral Patel (2/26) led the MCC bowling attack.
In reply, MCC were bowled out for 112 in 14.3 overs, despite a fighting 45 from Hiral Patel and 33 from Gangadharan Prasad. Tellegu’s bowlers tightened the screws with Harshil Patel taking 3/17, Sandeep 3/18 and Kelvin Njilinji adding 2/5 to seal the win.
In another match A to Z overcame TCA by 30 runs.
A to Z, put in to bat after losing the toss, scored 138 in 18.4 overs, with contributions from Mani Kandan (25), Gobi Nath (22) and Vijay Dhiman (22).
TCA faltered in the chase, managing 108/7 with Atoz’s Mani Kandan starring with the ball as well, taking 2/18 to secure the victory.
