From The Arusha News Correspondent in Morogoro

The Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) continued its impressive form at the ongoing Parastatal Organisations (SHIMMUTA) 2025 Games in Morogoro, securing a hard-fought 2–1 win over the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) in football early this week.

The victory confirmed TANAPA’s place in the tournament’s quarterfinal stage.

On December 3 TANAPA’s distance runners also raised the organisation’s profile with outstanding performances in the 5,000-metre race where wildlife ranger Elibariki Buko topped the men’s category.

Buko attributed his success to self-discipline and proper preparation.

In the women’s event, wildlife ranger Pili Joseph Samwel finished first, securing another podium moment for TANAPA.

The SHIMMUTA Games, which opened on November 25, will climax today, December 6, 2025.
