ALL EYES ON YANGA IN RABAT TODAY

By The Arusha News Correspondent.

Tanzanian giants Yanga and Simba SC will both be in action today, Saturday, February 7, 2026, as they continue their continental campaigns in North and Southern Africa.

Yanga will be in Rabat, Morocco, to face AS FAR at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in a crucial CAF group-stage encounter. The Dar es Salaam side will be aiming for a positive result away from home against the Moroccan heavyweights.

The two sides enter the game level on points and sitting close together in the group standings, underlining how tight the contest is likely to be. Both Yanga and AS FAR have similar records, making this fixture potentially decisive in the battle for a knockout place.

In their first meeting this season, Yanga claimed a valuable 1-0 win at home, giving them a slight psychological edge ahead of the return match in Morocco.

Meanwhile, Simba SC will be in Luanda, Angola, to take on Petro Atlético at the Estádio 11 de Novembro. The Msimbazi Reds are looking to strengthen their position in the group on Angolan soil though the Dar lads have very little hope to qualify for the next round.

In a crucial CAF Confederation Cup Group B showdown, Azam FC will host AS Maniema Union (DRC) at the New Amaan complex today.

Tomorrow, February 8, Singida Black Stars FC take on CR Belouizdad (Algeria) in Group C.
