Heavy downpour washes out second game

A to Z produced a commanding all-round performance to secure a convincing 55-run victory over TCA in the opening match before rain forced the cancellation of the second fixture in the ongoing 20-over Arusha Cricket League at the St. Constantine School grounds.
After winning the toss, A to Z elected to bat and posted a competitive 170 for 8 in their allotted overs. Chandra Prakash led the charge with a composed 56 while Vijay Dhiman contributed a solid 49. Dushant ensure a strong finish.
For TCA, Aisha Mohamed was the standout bowler, returning impressive figures of 4 for 23, while Farida Amir chipped in with 2 for 25.
In reply, TCA managed 115 for 3 in their allotted overs. Linja Justin top-scored with 39 and Sara’y added 35 but the target proved beyond reach.
Guru Prakash claimed 2 for 25 to help seal a comprehensive 55-run victory for A to Z.
The second game of the series was called-off due to heavy rain.
The league continues this weekend at the same venue.
