ARUSHA CRICKET LEAGUE
After winning the toss, A to Z elected to bat first and posted a modest total of 146 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs in the ongoing Arusha Cricket League at the St Constantine Ground over the weekend.
Vijay Dhiman top-scored with 29 runs while Vijay Bhath contributed 23, anchoring the innings as wickets fell at regular intervals.
In response, ACC struggled to build momentum in the chase. Karimu Karimu played a fighting knock of 64 runs while Gaurav Pandey, who earlier impressed with the ball claiming outstanding figures of 4 for 13, added 16 runs to the total. However, lack of support from the rest of the batting line-up proved costly with no other batsman reaching double figures.
For A to Z, Vijay Bhath delivered a disciplined spell, picking up 2 wickets for 14 runs while Dushant Singh claimed 2 for 28 to keep ACC under pressure throughout the innings.
ACC were eventually restricted to 129, handing A to Z a comfortable 17-run victory.
The league continues at the same venue this weekend.
