A to Z registered an impressive victory over ACC in the ongoing PowerPack 20-over tournament at St. Constantine’s Grounds, with Guru Prakash leading the way with a brilliant century.

After winning the toss, ACC elected to field first in what was a must-win match for A to Z.

Openers Guru Prakash and Sejul Hirani gave A to Z a flying start putting on 119 runs in 11 overs.

Sejul made a solid 39 while Guru went on to score a superb 100 before being dismissed.

Vijay Dhiman then added a strong finishing touch with 33 runs as A to Z posted a commanding total of 206/4. For ACC, Gourav Pandey was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/28 in his allotted four overs.

In response, ACC began brightly with Shyam Soni and Jaimin Patel putting on 60 runs during the power play. However, once Jaimin was dismissed for 31, wickets began to fall in clusters.

The middle order failed to offer much resistance with no other batsmen reaching double figures.

Shyam battled on before being dismissed for 54.

Sejul Hirani was outstanding with the ball, taking 4/36 while Guru Prakash completed an excellent all-round performance with figures of 2/6.

ACC were eventually restricted to 150/8, suffering their fourth defeat of the year.
