Royal Sports Club were crowned Arusha District Under-17 champions after defeating Black Eagles Sports Academy 2-1 in a thrilling final played at Sinoni Grounds, last weekend.

Royal made a bright start and opened the scoring in the 12th minute through striker James Erick, who calmly converted an early opportunity to put his side ahead.

Fourteen minutes later, Yahaya Mohamed doubled Royal’s advantage, giving the team a comfortable 2-0 lead before the break.

Black Eagles returned in the second half looking more organised and determined to get back into the match. Their improved performance was rewarded in the 62nd minute when James Joshua scored a beautiful goal to reduce the deficit.
