Tanzania football giants Young Africans (Yanga) and Simba SC will be in CAF Champions League preliminary round action this weekend, with both clubs playing their first-leg matches away from home. Yanga will face Botswana’s Gaborone United on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 8:00pm East Africa Time in Gaborone while Simba will take on Mighty Wanderers of Malawi on Sunday, September 6, at 4:00pm East Africa Time in Lilongwe. The two clubs will be seeking positive results away from home ahead of the return legs in Tanzania, where they will look to secure progression to the next round of Africa’s premier club competition. Yanga are scheduled to host Gaborone United on September 12, while Simba will welcome Mighty Wanderers on September 13.
