EA’S ELITE HEAD FOR KILI GOLF

Arusha is set to host a major regional golf contest as the Sterling Invitational takes place at the Kilimanjaro Golf this weekend. The tournament is expected to attract about 80 golfers from Tanzania and neighbouring countries, bringing together some some of of the the region’s leading amateur players.

This year’s competition carries added significance after gaining recognition under the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) system, giving eligible players an opportunity to improve their international standings. The women’s field is also expected to draw strong interest, with Tanzanian golfers facing experienced competitors from countries including Kenya and Rwanda. Players will compete in a stroke-play format over the Kiligolf championship course, one of Tanzania’s best-golf venues. For local golfers, the tournament provides a valuable opportunity to compete against high-level regional opposition on home soil.
