All is set for the Four Points by Sheraton Arusha, The Arusha Hotel Golf Tournament, which tees off today, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Arusha Gymkhana Golf Course.

More than 70 golfers from Tanzania and neighbouring countries are expected to battle it out for top honours in what promises to be a highly competitive tournament.

Defending champion Cyril Brown will be among the players to watch, as he seeks to retain the title he won in impressive fashion last year.

Brown dominated Division C in last year’s tournament, carding an outstanding 49 points, the highest score of the day, to emerge as the overall champion.

“I am set to defend my title,” Brown told The Arusha News, last week.

According to the organisers, preparations for the tournament have been completed, with golfers set to compete across different divisions, including ladies and guest categories.

The tournament will also feature special prizes for the Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin.

Last year’s edition attracted more than 60 players, including 17 golfers from Kenya’s Muthaiga, Thika Greens and Ruiru golf clubs, highlighting the tournament’s growing regional appeal.
