BY THOMAS MHANDO
The mountain watches from afar,
While visitors arrive by car,
Wondering how beautiful things are.
Arusha wears the morning light,
With Meru standing proud and bright,
And cool air making mornings right.
Tourists ask where lions roam,
Drivers somehow know the road to home,
And every guide becomes a walking tome.
The city serves its coffee strong,
Its streets move slowly, then along,
As traffic teaches patience through song.
From conference halls to open sky,
Arusha gives the world a reason why
Some cities welcome more than they imply.
