A fractured wrist bone could not dampen senior Indian Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Narayanpillai Premachandran’s determination to participate in the 153rd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Arusha and explore Ngorongoro Crater.
Despite sustaining the injury during the meeting, he continued attending the proceedings and made time to visit the renowned conservation area.
Speaking to The Arusha News, Mr Premachandran praised NSK Hospital’s doctors and staff for their prompt, professional emergency care during his two-day stay in its VIP emergency room. He also commended the hospital’s facilities.
He also applauded Tanzania for organising the IPU Assembly so well, while emphasising legislators’ vital oversight role in strengthening democracy, ensuring accountability and advancing development for the benefit of all citizens.
